Meet Our Team
Alycia Poffenroth, RDH
Alycia studied Hygiene in Ontario and even volunteered at the Health Mission Outreach there. She wants every patient she treats to reach optimal oral health. She views the dental experience as a time to listen carefully to the patient’s concerns and ensure they are comfortable with treatment. When not cleaning her patient’s teeth, Alycia helps at her family farm.
Theresa Williamson, RDH
Theresa completed her Dental Hygiene Diploma in Regina and has now lived and practiced in Sylvan Lake for the past 18 years. Her philosophy is to prioritize the comfort and health of her patients by using preventative dentistry. Aside from work, Theresa makes time for her family, skiing, golfing, camping, gardening, and scrap booking.
Jenna Barber, RDH
Diana Tano, RDH
Inspired by her grandmother, the first lady dentist in a small town in the Philippines, Diana was destined to be in dentistry. Diana graduated in 2009 from George Brown College Dental Hygiene Program and not long after, she joined the Aurora family. She takes pride in creating an enjoyable and positive dental experience for her patients and helping create a smile that they can feel proud of. She enjoys meeting new people, building friendships and professional relationships with her patients. She is touched by our patients’ many stories, jokes, journeys, adventures, and antics!
Kim Parent, RDH
Kim was born and raised in Ponoka, Alberta and she completed her Hygiene program in Ontario in 2011. In September 2016, she joined the Aurora Dental team – quickly making an impact with patients and staff who love her bright happy personality. Her passion for her job is evident as she works hard to ensure her patients receive quality care in helping them reach optimal oral health. In her free time, she enjoys playing baseball, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Albert Cruz, DD
Albert credits his father for supporting him to become a Denturist. Albert received his education at George Brown College and is certified College of Denturists. Albert sees a story behind each pair of dentures he makes for his patients. Every patient can anticipate a comprehensive denture treatment plan and Albert likes to make his patients laugh – as long as their dentures don’t fall out. He also likes to travel the world (make sure to ask him about his many adventures).
Our Dental Assistants
Debbie Bone-Dyck, RDA
Debbie has been in dentistry for twenty-six years and has loved every year seeing patient oral health improve. In addition to being a dental assistant, Debbie has EMT training and has volunteered at the Red Deer free Open Door Clinic for the past ten years. Her and her husband Jason hit the road on their motorbikes with their dog Pikachu or may go fly-fishing.
Lyndsey Black, RDA
Lyndsey had spent much of her time as a child in an Orthodontist’s chair. Now having been a Dental Assistant for four years, her favourite part is working with children. Lyndsey finds herself spending time in the West Country side camping and hiking. Her ideal day is spent on the golf course and she won’t say no to travel.
Christy Regnier, RDA
After receiving her Bachelor of Science, Christy has spent 18 years in dentistry and 14 of those years working specifically with Orthodontic patients. She has always enjoyed witnessing the progression of patient oral health. A relaxed office and staff with little or no wait times is something she knows makes for a quality dental experience. When not assisting our dentists, you can find her barrel racing in the Pro Rodeo Circuit, snowboarding, adventuring in the mountains, or in her art studio silversmithing or painting.
Rebecca Manness, RDA
Like some, Rebecca had an unpleasant experience with dentistry. This prompted her to help make the patient experience more welcoming, relaxing, and easy. Rebecca has volunteered her time with “New To The Area” and “Homeless Connect Edmonton” for the past three years. Rebecca stretches herself through yoga, fun with friends, and new hobbies like violin.
Arlene Foss, RDA/CDA
Arlene very much enjoys helping people, and doing that as well in the Dental Clinic with all ages. She graduated from SAIT after high school, working for many years in various places in BC and Alberta, as well as abroad. Arlene helps our friendly team listen to every patient, where we present all options in a caring and comfortable environment. Arlene enjoys being rugged in nature, doing things like hiking and kayaking, as well as traveling and exploring new places.
Stacey Ruzicka, RDA
Growing up on a farm in Viking, Stacey’s love of the dental field came from undertaking work experience throughout high school in grade 11 and 12. Right out of high school, she went to Edmonton KDM and got her certification in 1997. She has been assisting for 19 years and still loves her job. Meeting new people, making patients laugh and feel comfortable are very important to Stacey. Her passion is her two horses Kaye and Maybe, which she trained for barrel racing. You can be sure to see them competing in various rodeo’s across Alberta.
Our Administrative Team
Teresa Eisler, Office Manager
Teresa has been involved in the dental field for over 20 years. She is proud to be a team member of Aurora Dental Group since 2007. Teresa wants to ensure our patients are greeted with a friendly smile and leave delighted. Tionna Hayward, Office Manager
Tionna joined the Dental industry in 2000 while living in Calgary. With over 16 years of experience behind her, she truly enjoys facilitating patient care and being part of the process in which patients realize they are impacting their overall wellbeing. In 2012, she joined Aurora Dental Group in Sylvan Lake and later moved to Lacombe in 2013 to manage the location there. Tanya Munro, Tx Coordinator
Tanya brings five years of dental reception experience within Central Alberta as our Treatment Coordinator and knows insurance plans forward and back to help make your insurance a breeze. Outside of seeing patients get their treatment questions answered, Tanya gardens, bakes, and appreciates time with family.
Beverly Moran, Reception
Since 2011, Bev has worked in reception with Aurora Dental. She enjoys getting to know the patients and their families from Sylvan Lake community, and wants every patient leaving happy. Bev lives in Sylvan Lake and jumps in whenever she can. She does crafts, painting, garage sales, and walks alongside the lake with her family and their dog.
Kimberly Matthews, Patient Coordinator
Since joining Aurora Dental, Kim smiles every time she meets new patients or reacquaints with long-time patients. When possible, she volunteers at her kids’ high school as her “million dollar family” keeps her busy with school, sports, and outdoor activities. Her sense of humour brings a lot of laughs to the office and will no doubt make you laugh too.
Alisa Schneider, Reception
Alisa started with Aurora Dental group in the winter of 2015 and has fit nicely into her reception role. Initially shy, Alisa has found it easy to become friends with not only coworkers but with every patient who walks through the door. When not at work, she spends time with family, golfing (trying), camping, shopping or losing herself in a good TV series.
Andrea Morgan, Recare Coordinator/Reception
Andrea recently joined the Aurora Dental Group bringing with her 5+ years of dental experience. Her friendly nature blends well with our patients and staff. She has lived with her family in Lacombe for 18 years, raising a daughter and twin boys. In her downtime, she can often be found with a paintbrush in hand creating water colour paintings, reading, enjoying the Alberta sunshine, and exploring the province with her family and two dogs Jasper and Oliver.
